Dr. Mrs. Emeagi Ijeoma O. is an accomplished ICT Professional, Trainer, Consultant, and Technopreneur with over 25 years of dedicated service in the field. She is the immediate past Head of the Department of Computer Science and 14TH Governing Council member at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. Dr. Ijeoma is a distinguished fellow and member of several professional organizations, including the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Computer Professionals (Registration Council) of Nigeria (CPN), Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIT), Institute of software practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON), National Information Technology Professionals in Civil Service (NITPCS), the Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World (MOWSD).


Throughout her career, Dr. Ijeoma has made significant contributions to the ICT landscape, including the development of innovative academic teaching methods, programs, and articles that emphasize the societal impact of emerging technologies. She has a strong academic background with degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science (B.Tech Hons), Information Technology (M.Sc), and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Additionally, she has received specialized certifications from reputable institutions, such as NIIT and Microsoft.


As an educator and leader, Dr. Ijeoma has played various key roles at Federal Polytechnic Nekede, including serving as the Evening Programme Coordinator, Internet Administrator, and Academic Evening Programme Supervisor. She has initiated and successfully conducted various National conferences as a chairman, Co-chair or member of the organizing team. She has also been actively involved in various International trainings and assignments in various aspects like the Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics Africa (ATUPA) and National assignments in various aspects like curriculum development, precritic/ critics of curriculums for Artificial Intelligence and has initiated the unbundling of the Computer Science department to create new departments focused on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Software Development Technology, a pioneering effort within the Nigerian Polytechnic system with the National Board for technical Education (NBTE)


Dr. Ijeoma's dedication to the field extends beyond the classroom, as she has authored and co-authored numerous textbooks in Computer Science and has presented research papers at both national and international conferences. She is a dynamic professional who combines her technical expertise with a commitment to the development of the ICT sector and the empowerment of women in technology as she’s is a fully active member of the Women in Technical Education (WITED) West Africa and currently the country’s Secretary Forum for African Women Educationalists Nigeria (FAWEN).
She is a versatile Tech speaker and columnist in various publications


Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Ijeoma is a multifaceted individual who enjoys business ventures, travel, reading, and writing. She is not just a seasoned ICT professional but also a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, and a woman of faith.


Dr. Mrs. Emeagi Ijeoma O. continues to be a driving force in the field of ICT, making meaningful contributions to education, technology, and the empowerment of the girl-child and women in Nigeria and beyond.
