Engr. Michael Arimanwa Honoured by Fisheries Society of Nigeria
The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Engr. Dr. Michael Chidiebere Arimanwa (FNSE, FOSHA), was on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, honoured by Fisheries Society of Nigeria (FISON) with an Honorary Fellowship Award.
Making the presentation to Engr. Arimanwa, the National President, Dr. Agbabiaka Adegoke on behalf of the National Executive Council of FISON, said the award is in recognition of the Rector's immense contribution toward educational transformation and capacity building, especially in Fisheries and Aquaculture trianing for youth empowerment, improved food security and poverty alleviation.
Engr. Michael Arimanwa is not new to awards but this particular recognition is inspiring as it will encourage and motivate him to strive more in youth empowerment, improved food security and of course alleviate poverty within the society.
Recall that just recently, the Federal Polytechnic Nekede team, led by Engr. Michael Arimanwa and LOFTY FARMS, Togo, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deploy professionals and technical assistance to create and set up specific aquaculture projects for the Polytechnic in particular and the public and private sector institutions of Nigeria largely.
