ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Mass communication department, FPNO, is one of the fastest growing departments and the most sort after in the school. There are students both in the National Diploma (ND) and the Higher National Diploma (HND) all accredited by the National Board for Technical Education.
With our robust staff strength and state-of-the-art training studios, we give our students both theoretical and practical knowledge in the evolving field of Mass Communication.
To study is to cultivate and nurture one of the strongest forces of the human mind – curiosity. We do not only teach but engage, discover and groom our students. Our track record over the years of teaching and learning will convince you.
Looking forward means taking responsibility. Therefore, we strive daily to stay up-to-date with the changes in the field, train the trainee and teach our students accordingly.
We are proud of the fact that we have a conducive atmosphere and a digitally sound rector who understands the importance of modern education.
We place values on academic performance. The values that the Polytechnic is built on are in line with those that are crucial to us; building our students, promoting research and education and empowering students to be able to compete anywhere in the global market.
These are fundamental values that enable us to understand our past, and present and to prepare for the future.
We, as a department, choose to think outside the box, embrace change and leverage available technology to give our students the best education.
We encourage our students not to shy away from hard work. Always strive to push yourselves forward and expand your capacities.
We remind you that hard work will be rewarding in tackling the difficult and complex global, national and local challenges ahead.
