The Federal Government of Nigeria, in order to break financial barriers in pursuing higher education by Nigerian students has through the Student Loans Act, 2023, created the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) Programme which Is to give accessibility to higher education in Nigeria. This loan initiative started operating in 2023/2024 Academic Session. 

In view of the above, this is to inform our esteemed students and the Polytechnic Community that the 2024/2025 Nelfund Student Loan Programme Portal for the 2024/2025 Academic Session has opened as at 22nd February, 2025. 

Consequently, all interested and qualified students are advised to visit the Nelfund website (www.nelf.gov.ng) and apply accordingly. 

Furthermore, note that Nelfund Portal for the 2023/2024 academic session was officially closed on 21st February, 2025. However, Nelfund will process all backlog of applications for the 2023/2024 academic session. 

Please, all Deans of Schools, Directors (Teaching), Heads of Departments (Teaching) are requested to bring the content of this memo to the attention of students under them.
