Please, in line with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) directive in a memo NYSC/DHQ/CM/M/47/83, dated 17th December, 2024, I have been directed to inform the Polytechnic Community and our esteemed students that Prospective Corps Members (PCMS) are required to obtain completion Certificate for mandatory Industrial Training before they could be mobilized for NYSC Programme.
Following the above, all Prospective Corps Members (PCMS) are requested to adhere strictly to the modalities for obtaining Certificate of the Mandatory Industrial Training as listed below:
1. Pay IT Completion Certificate fee of N2,500 (Two Thousand, Five Hundred Naira) only at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Microfinance Bank.
2. Proceed to the Directorate of Industrial Placement Centre (IPC/SIWES) for collection of the Completion Certificate of Industrial Training with the following particulars listed below:
a. Evidence of payment of IT Completion Certificate.
b. Original Copy of National Diploma (ND) Statement of Result (for sighting) and photocopy.
c. Original and photocopy of IT letters from various organizations where the training was carried out.
Please, note that the Certificate upon collection, shall be signed and stamped by the Industrial based supervisor where the students did their Industrial Training.
Heads of Divisions, Deans of Schools, Directors and Heads of Departments (Teaching & Non-Teaching) are kindly requested to bring the content of this memo to the attention of their students.
