ICT Directorate

Empowering Education Through Technology

FPNO ICT Directorate is responsible for conceiving, designing, and implementing ICT strategies for the polytechnic via the deployment of human capacities and provision of critical infrastructure and network services. The ICT Directorate helps staff and students use information and communication technologies to enhance their work and offers different services and support.

Our Mission

Attending to all administrative issues.

Providing leadership in planning and developing the Polytechnic information systems.

Using Information Technology in connecting students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders with operational and strategic information resources.

Providing Polytechnic-wide support for all computing resources.

Automating systems monitoring tasks using standard monitoring tools.

Making provisions for Server hardware, including configuration and deployment.

Data backup management, which includes scheduling and reporting for both internal Polytechnic systems and data center system.

Troubleshooting and support for Polytechnic cyber operations such as websites, SFTP sites, e-voting sites, SMTP services and Polytechnic intranet.

Providing technical support for web development projects.

Establish systems standards, policies, and procedures.

Creating and maintaining systems configuration and work flow diagrams.

Designing and implementing security measures against cyber-attacks and malware.

Responding to requests for help and inquiries from website visitors and website designers.
