National Alumni Association of Fedpolynek Donate One million Naira to Federal Polytechnic Nekede.

The promise of riches is in its worthy use. The wealth of the benevolence is for the good and prosperity of the society. In this retrospect, the National Alumni Association of Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri visited the management of the institution.

The president of the association Eng. Dr. Ben Iheakam a renowned Engineer of repute told the management that they are in the school for interaction that helps them to fashion out ways to help the school financially and morally. He praised the Njoku led administration for creating enabling environment for progress in the school.

Dr. Iheakam reiterated their desire to continue in the quest to place the school among the best polytechnic in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. He said the alumni have decide to place the welfare of the school first and continue in those things that they have put in place to make the school a grand citadel of learning which include

  1. Founders day/ carnival
  2. Prices for the best students in their various departments.
  3. Entrepreneurship development etc.

Dr. Iheagwam informed the management that the school will mark her 40 years anniversary and it will be a great festive time. Knowing the delight in giving, he on behalf of the association donated a cash gift of five hundred thousand naira(N500,000.00) for founders’ day celebration and another five hundred thousand naira for photo laboratory entrepreneurship. He also promised to help IT students, staff to achieve greater height. It should be noted that Dr. Ben Iheagwam helped to build a gun boat for the Nigeria Navy, reacting the Deputy Rector (Administration) Mr. Desmond Oparaku who represented the lecture said that the relationship between the Alumni association and the school has been very cordial. He praised the commitment and exhibition at goodwill towards the school and urged them to keep it up. He being an alumnus as the school promised to help the school in any capacity that they can, and they will never disappoint the school.
